SEIPS Case Study: Bahamas Rooftop Solar PV System
During the summer of 2014, SEIPS assisted with the installation of a 36 kW roof and wall mount PV system. Our tasks included a review of the system design and balance of system per the specifications, management of the system installation with a local subcontractor, verification of system performance and system commissioning.
While the system is relatively small, the services performed cover the entire spectrum of what SEIPS offers. The design was reviewed to make sure it met the requirements of the client and then the installation was overseen by one of our staff. After the installation was completed the system was tested to verify its integrity, and then turned on, or commissioned. This combination of services is what we frequently refer to as Owner Representation, which basically protects the clients assets by having a third-party observe the project at all stages.
