Proper PV system commissioning is essential for performance, safety, and warranty management.

PV and energy storage systems require specialized expertise to bring into service. Proper commissioning requires a high level of planning and confirmation of the correct safety protocol.

SEIPS provides third-party commissioning services on a variety of levels.  Our level of involvement will depend on a few factors usually dictated in the construction contract.  We will tailor the commissioning service to meet your needs, while respecting the relationships between everyone involved.

About

Commissioning is the act of bringing a system into working condition. Applied to power systems, this process involves inspecting the system and then bringing each component online in a process that is dictated by the manufacturers of the various components and standard industry practice.

SEIPS provides commissioning services for residential up to utility scale PV systems. Our trained staff is experienced with all major manufacturers of the various components found in today’s PV power plants.

Working with SEIPS to bring your system online, provides an extraordinary level of quality control and assurance that only decades of industry experience can offer.

Process

The commissioning process varies according to system size and client, or contract requirements. If the contract with your client does not clearly outline a commissioning process, we can identify the appropriate compliance guidelines and choose the best process for your situation at a competitive fee. You can be assured that your system will be brought online by a knowledgeable and highly experienced team, in a safe and controlled manner.

In an ideal world SEIPS is brought into the conversation early in the project planning phase to verify that all the entities are clear in their goals. This provides clarity at the end of the project when commissioning occurs. This translates into a smooth commissioning process that will allow final compensation for the project to be made with assurances that the system is operating safely and performing as expected.

Packages

Not only will SEIPS provide your project with industry-leading expertise, we are also fully insured to deliver these services. We can provide documentation either during the proposal phase of your project and/or at the end when you will require documentation for your own insurance company and client.
