Alejandro Cisneros

Alejandro Cisneros, P.Eng., MSc. / Sr. Design Engineer & Manager

Alejandro is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta in Canada, he also holds a MSc degree in Energy and Environment from the University of Calgary, where he currently resides. Alejandro has over 9 years of experience in the energy sector which includes 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry as Field and Design Engineer plus 4 years in the solar PV Industry. During his tenure in the Oil and Gas Alejandro oversaw designing and manufacturing of training equipment for major oil companies and research institutions around the globe, after that he worked as a Field Engineer in the Canadian oil sands. Alejandro was able to pursue his passion in the renewable industry in the province of Manitoba where he was the lead engineer in charge of designing and installing major solar projects, during this time Alejandro helped shaping the solar industry in Manitoba and his designs were considered the industry standard. Later he brought the same high standards to the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The experience in those two opposite industries have taught Alejandro the importance of accepting and working with what is currently available, fossil fuels, while being part of the change promoting renewable energy from within. Alejandro also spends his time exploring ways to promote solar energy in Latin America together with likeminded individuals.

In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, swimming, home improvement or working on hobbies such as metal and/or woodwork. He mainly loves to spend time with his wife Gaby, daughter Amelia and 2 crazy wiener dogs whether is at a park or hiking/biking the beautiful Canadian Rockies.

Vivian Crespo, P.E.

Vivian Crespo, P.E. / Electrical Engineer

Vivian is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer and a Professional Mechanical Engineer. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, and a master's degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. She is also NABCEP-certified and has been in the solar industry since 2006. Before solar, Vivian worked in the defense and aerospace industries, managing the manufacture of test equipment, and analyzing test data for jet engines. However, she found her passion in solar and has gained insight from many experiences: participating in the Solar Decathlon, doing service work in Peru, replacing solar systems, completing her master’s thesis to help the Tohono O’odham community, Habitat for Humanity, and going on to design big and small systems throughout the nation. In her “free” time, Vivian enjoys spending time with her family, two daughters and her husband. They hike trails and parks and travel to see their extended families. She also loves scrapbooking and yoga.
Ahmed J Abdalla

Ahmed J Abdalla / Design Engineer, EIT

Ahmed is an Engineer-in-Training with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He has been in the PV industry since 2017.  He started installing and designing residential Solar PV systems with the local solar company in Terre Haute, IN before moving to Texas the following year and working as a lead PV designer.  He used that opportunity to improve his technical skills acquiring a NABCEP PV Design Specialist Certification and eventually an Installation Professional Certification. He joined SEI’s design engineering team in 2020, and is currently studying for his electrical PE.  When he is not designing PV systems, he can also be found playing soccer or getting choked out in a Jiu Jitsu gym.
Cedric Gamble

Cedric Gamble / Design Engineer

Cedric is a PV System Designer with a diverse background in solar and storage applications. After earning a BS in Environmental Science from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, Cedric worked as a mountain guide for 7 years throughout the Western US. He got started in the solar industry as an installer during the low snow winter of 2018. Working for a residential and small commercial EPC, Cedric had the opportunity to work on many different projects and with a variety of solar and storage technologies including building off-grid and battery backup systems. Progressing through work positions as an installer, apprentice electrician, construction manager, and design team lead gave Cedric a holistic perspective to system design. Cedric joined SEIPS in the spring of 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Sustainable Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Cedric lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two four-legged furry friends. In their free time they enjoy climbing, skiing, mountain biking and running in the Wasatch and beyond.
